Accessible, Convenient Mental Health Care from Wherever You Are

Telehealth & Teletherapy Services

Accessible, Convenient Mental Health Care from Wherever You Are
Therapy does not always require sitting in the same room. Through secure telehealth services, I provide convenient, confidential, and effective mental health care that allows you to participate in therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Teletherapy can be especially helpful for individuals with busy schedules, limited transportation options, changing work demands, or those who prefer the flexibility of meeting virtually. Whether you are at home, traveling, or in another private location, telehealth provides greater accessibility while maintaining the same thoughtful, personalized approach offered in traditional in-person therapy.

How Teletherapy Works

I use Headway to schedule appointments, manage billing, and process insurance benefits. Headway provides a streamlined platform that makes it easier to find appointment availability, understand your insurance coverage, and manage your therapy experience.

Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive information about how to access your secure telehealth session. Sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform designed to protect your privacy and confidentiality.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Confidentiality is one of the foundations of effective therapy. As with in-person counseling, information shared during teletherapy sessions is kept private and protected within the ethical and legal standards of the counseling profession. I take several steps to support your privacy during telehealth sessions, including:

  • Using secure, HIPAA-compliant technology for virtual sessions
  • Conducting sessions from a private and confidential location
  • Conducting sessions from a private and confidential location
Protecting your personal health information in accordance with professional and legal requirements
  • Discussing strategies with you to help create a private and comfortable environment on your end

While teletherapy provides strong privacy protections, it is important that clients also participate from a location where they feel comfortable speaking openly and where conversations cannot be overheard.

Informed Consent for Teletherapy

Before beginning teletherapy, we will review informed consent specific to virtual therapy services. This process ensures that you understand how telehealth works, including its benefits, limitations, and your rights as a client. Topics covered in teletherapy informed consent may include:

  • The nature and process of virtual therapy sessions
  • Privacy and confidentiality considerations
  • Emergency procedures and location requirements during sessions
  • Your right to ask questions or discontinue teletherapy services at any time

My goal is to ensure that you feel informed, comfortable, and empowered in making decisions about your care.

The Benefits of Teletherapy

Teletherapy offers many advantages for individuals seeking meaningful psychological support, including:

Greater Flexibility

Virtual sessions can reduce barriers created by commuting, work schedules, family responsibilities, and other life demands. Therapy can fit more naturally into your routine.

Teletherapy allows clients to access care from locations where traditional in-person therapy may be difficult or unavailable.

Many clients appreciate the ability to engage in therapy from a familiar environment where they may feel more at ease and open to reflection.

Continuity of Care

Teletherapy can make it easier to maintain consistent support during periods of transition, travel, or changing circumstances.

Is Teletherapy Right for You?

Research has shown that teletherapy can be an effective form of mental health treatment for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and personal growth. The quality of therapy depends not only on the format, but on the relationship, trust, and collaboration developed between therapist and client.

During our initial consultation, we can discuss whether teletherapy is an appropriate fit for your needs, preferences, and circumstances.
